Polymer-bound jointing sand for narrow paving joints

With vdw VarioSand, GftK now also offers its polymer-bound special jointing sand for narrow paving joints in a practical bag. The ready-to-use product was developed specifically for joint widths of 2 to 4 mm and closes the gap between classic loose jointing sands and joint mortars.

Many paving systems have narrow joints by design, which are often unsuitable for the use of joint mortars. At the same time, loose jointing sands frequently offer only limited protection against wash-out and unwanted vegetation. This is where vdw VarioSand comes in.

The special jointing sand is swept into the open joints and then compacted by vibration. Once the joints are completely filled, the polymer it contains is activated by light watering. During the drying process, it permanently bonds the grains of sand together, forming a stable matrix. This bond is retained even on later contact with water and ensures a permanently resilient joint structure.

The result is stable joints that do not lose sand or get washed out. This leaves significantly less room for unwanted vegetation. Paved surfaces thus remain well-kept, functional and visually appealing in the long term, while the effort required for re-jointing is reduced.
